With California Informer reporting in December 2016 with the removal of the 3D element, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey now has been recently enhanced with 4K-HD resolution. The film was originally at a frame rate of 60 fps, but is now 120 fps.

The attraction’s storyline remains the same, but with tweaks such as lighting and the overall clarity and sharper images of the projections.
