The Lower Lot, to the right of the escalators and across from Jurassic Park: The Ride.
Universal Express and standby lanes offered. A single rider line is also available.
Must be 48 inches tall to ride.
The Bottom Line
Escape Imhotep’s cursed tomb in a harrowing roller coaster-dark ride hybrid. Travel up to 45 mph traveling forward and backward as you escape scarab beetles, warrior mummies and other ancient dangers!
Appropriate for tweens and up. The entire experience aims to scare, with reanimated corpses and carnivorous bugs punctuating forward and backward-facing roller coaster segments in near darkness.
Crowd Patterns & Wait Times
As the park’s only major roller coaster, Revenge of the Mummy sees constant crowds and high wait times. Experience the attraction as soon as it opens (see below) to avoid a long wait. If waits are prohibitive, consider taking advantage of the single riders line.
Length of Experience
The ride lasts approximately two minutes.
What To Know Before You Go
A viewing of The Mummy (1999) will enhance your understanding of the chief villain, Imhotep, but a majority of the ride’s content is original or only loosely related to the blockbuster film. Note that large bags must be stored in free lockers adjacent to the attraction (see full details on lockers here).
