The Bottom Line
A year-round haunted-house attraction, The Walking Dead recreates several iconic locations from the popular AMC television series, such as Harrison Memorial Hospital, the prison, and Terminus. Guests will need to survive each in order to escape the zombie horde.
Crowd Patterns & Wait Times
The Walking Dead generally has no longer than a 30-minute wait on the busiest days. The experience is located in a tucked-away area on Baker Street, but is noticeable with loud music and a giant helicopter prop playing sound effects.
The entire queue is themed as if you are inside the abandoned Harrison Memorial Hospital from the TV show’s first season. At one point in the queue, you will see the iconic “Don’t Open – Dead Inside” doors that come replete with differently-animated walker (zombie) hands attempting to get out. (Note there are loud sounds in the queue, along with occasional strobe effects.)
Length of Experience
The walk-through varies with how quickly you pace yourself through each environment. On average, it lasts about three minutes.
What to Know Before You Go
There are 18 artifacts from the show littered throughout the entire attraction, including Daryl’s bow and Michonne’s katana. In addition, when you first enter the hospital, look to your right to see the names of the creative personnel behind The Walking Dead on a sign simply titled “founders’ board.”
