The Lower Lot, at the end of the street to the right of the StarWay
Gate A and VIP lines are offered. A single rider line is also available at the main entrance. The ride has a separate entrance for handicapped guests to the left of the main marquee.
Must be 40 inches tall to ride. Guests 40-48 inches tall must ride with a Supervising Companion (anyone over 14 years of age). Guests 48 inches or taller may ride alone.
The Bottom Line
Prepare for battle with the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, as you evade the nefarious Megatron in a 3D motion simulated dark ride. Hop in a brand-new Transformer character EVAC to aid in his mission to protect the AllSpark.
Appropriate for tweens and up. A constant barrage of yelling, 3D explosions and other loud noises. Simulated motion and 3D imagery are frightening and intense, with all manners of fantastical guns, blades and projectiles flying out at guests. Most children tall enough to experience the ride take the bombastic, over-the-top action in stride. Those who experience motion sickness should not ride.
Crowd Patterns & Wait Times
As one of the park’s newest headliners, Transformers sees high wait times from mid-day on and should therefore be your first stop on your tour of the Lower Lot. If you hit it first thing in the morning, you won’t have any trouble riding several times before lines build up. Otherwise, expect to wait at least 30 minutes on slow days and up to 120-140 minutes on busy days. Consider using the much faster single riders line if you’re willing to split up your party.
A lengthy indoor queue themed to the “N.E.S.T.” Security Base offers plenty of Transformers eye candy and a queue video detailing the ride’s plot.
Length of Experience
The ride lasts approximately 4 and a half minutes once you leave the loading station.
What To Know Before You Go
The ride’s story is thin at best, focusing more on action rather than plot or characters. You’ll recognize most of the robots after a viewing of the original Michael Bay film, Transformers. Do note that you can bring bags and other loose articles on this ride; you’ll leave bags at your feet. Don’t worry, they won’t fly out of the vehicle.
